Day 30: A Friend
Yesterday I found out some horrible news. A friend I was close with in high school left this world for another. This photo, which I didn't technically take, is exactly how I remember her. I can't even put into words how sad I am about this tragedy. Through the years and distance, I let too much time go without talking to her, and others. I so wish I could change that. She was an amazing person inside and out. Someone every girl or woman strives to be. I don't remember a single day that she didn't have a smile on her face. Your time here was too short, Rachel, and all of us who were lucky enough to know you are blessed. I will miss you forever.

Day 29: Prep
Birthday prep is how I'm spending most of my evenings this week. We did get to go have breakfast with Grandpa this morning. That was a nice break from the usual!

Day 28: Penguins
This drawing here is courtesy of a 7 year old. In fact, my favorite 7 year old, in the history of 7 year olds. He's learning about penguins in class and is pretty fascinated by them! The Emperor, and the Gentoo are his favorites.

Day 27: Books
He loves them, and that love does not stem from his father ;) He also enjoys kissing them. It's one of the cutest things EVER!
Day 26: Wraslyn
Yes, I meant to spell it like that :) It's my inner southern coming out. The rain has come back home.Which leads to a lot of this inside the house.

Day 24: A Freckle and a Crush
Oh my. This boy. He has a crush on a very good friends little girl. For the last year and a halfish, he's been saying he's going to marry her. Yesterday he came to me with this little bit of conversation.
L- "Mom, I still have a crush on S.
Me- "Oh ya?"
L- "When's that crush going to go away? It's been here forever."
Me- ***Heart melts***
As he told me this he kept pointing to his finger. I didn't realize it until this morning, when he was talking about "that crush" again, that he thinks this crush is located in his freckle on that ^^ little finger. He then exclaimed that I, as in Mom, must have a lot of crushes because my arm is covered in freckles! I wish I could bottle him up.
Day 23: Our Newest Family Member
Meet Beyonce. She's our newest family member. We told "M" that we found her frozen in the North Pole. She believes us.

Day 19: Bananas
We normally go through an endless amount of bananas. This week no one seemed to be interested, and I was left with about 20 overly ripe bananas. So what better to do? Make banana bread. Then eat it :)

Day 14: A Girl and Her Tooth
My Girl finally lost her first tooth! Those of you who see her in the flesh, know that this tooth should have been out about a month ago! She has been afraid to give it that little bit of help it needed to pop out. Afraid that she would be awake when the tooth fairy came. Afraid that it would result in the tooth fairy leaving. Without leaving behind something exciting. She did NOT want to chance that happening!

Day 13: Old Girl
This is our oldest baby, Molly.
One of her ears is almost always flopped the wrong way
She's sweet
She's protective of her family
Liam is hers and she is his
She's snugly
She's loyal
She's almost deaf
She LOVES to give her Dad hugs, and she is getting old.
She can still keep up with the young guns if a ball is involved! Exactly what anyone would want for a family dog. We had a scare with her a few months back. She was pretty sick and we are so thankful she made a full recovery. Our lives wouldn't be the same without her :)

Day 12: Homework
Every Friday we get a homework folder with a little math, spelling, and a journal entry. We usually tackle it Friday night but there was a lot and he was tired. So this is what we are doing today. He's concentrating pretty hard on his picture of the Bronco's beating the Raven's. Football has become a regular theme for his journal entries.

Day 9: Shelfs
I have been wanting to put shelving on both sides of our fireplace ever since we moved in last April. Today it was finally tackled! I think it looks great and can't wait to fill them with photos of the people we love. Notice the TV is on ESPN? Ya, that's pretty much standard at our house :)

Day 8: Healthy
After Christmas we decided it was time to get back to a healthy place. A while back I bought a Blend tech blender from my favorite place in the world, Costco. We used it everyday to make green, or in this case, brown smoothies, until it was put away in a cupboard to make room for more Christmasy things. I am happy to say she is back out and in action. I've been adding peanut butter lately. So the smoothies have a not so attractive brown color instead of a pretty green. They taste super good though!

Day 7: A First
Today's photo was hard to pic. We had a pretty great day. I took advantage of "The Best Christmas Present Ever" and that required the family to get out of the house and spend some time together. At least those of us not in school. We started off at a local sip and play cafe. I originally thought I'd use a photo of the kids playing there. After that we stopped off for some lunch. Since we were near a hair salon geared towards kids, I thought maybe it was time. His hair has been out of control for a while now. He can't sit in his car seat without a giant knot forming in the back. So we took the plunge. I sorta had a mommy freak out and didn't end up cutting as much as I had originally planned on. But it's OK! Baby steps right? So here he is, old school and new school, at exactly 19mo 5days. It may not seem like a big deal to anyone else but it's one step closer to not being "my baby" anymore and that makes me sad.

Day 6: Mini Entrepreneur
This right here is something I hope I never forget about. This is his store. He started it and keeps it running all on his own. He puts a lot of work into it daily. Drawing new pictures, rearranging things, marketing, etc. You can find anything from scoria, star wars cards, and original works of art. He sure knows how to wheel and deal, but also offer's pretty awesome deals if he feels he's about to lose a customer. I am really proud of the work and dedication he's put into his store. Now if I could only get him to put the same into keeping his room clean!

Day 5: Blah Blah Blah
I couldn't decide which photo to use today. So you get 2! The first pic is how our back yard has looked all day. We were not able to see past our tree line. Pretty gloomy if you ask me. To add to the gloom we finally started to take our Christmas Tree down. The awesome thing about a fakey is you can keep it up as long as you want! Normally I'm ready to deChristmas on the 26th but not this year. Ty took it apart while I ran errands and managed to break only 1 bulb! I'd say that was a pretty big achievement :)

Day 4 : Slow
Today was a slow day. Which was completely OK with me. Babies napped, boys played football, girls played littlest pet shop and made friendship bracelets. There are not a lot of slow days in this house but I think we could use more.

Day 3: Knee Deep
Today we are knee deep, literally, in party decorations. I am determined to be ahead of the game for this little girls 6th Birthday party. Stay tuned. It's going to be a good one!

Day 2: Kisses
Giving kisses to himself is one of his favorite things to do. It tends to make a little extra work for mom, on window and mirror cleaning day, but I don't care. It's cute. He's cute. I love his kisses whether they are for me or for him.

Day 1: 2013
This is how our first day of 2013 looked when we woke up. Yesterday we got our first, and probably only, Winter snow. This is what was left of it in the morning. Along with a little frost :) 2012 was a pretty awesome year, but I have a feeling 2013 will be even better! Happy New Year!
